Candle Care Tips

For the best burning experience, we recommend these guidelines:

  1. When lighting your candle for the first time, burn for at least two hours, or until the entire surface of the candle has turned to liquid wax. This will help to create an even burn for the duration of your candle's life
  2. Using a good pair of wick trimmers, trim wick to 1/4” before each lighting. This will maintain an even and clean burn.
  3. Burn your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time in order to help preserve the fragrance.
  4. Always keep candles in sight while burning and never leave burning candle alone.
  5. Do not burn candle on or near anything flammable (ex- furniture, drapes, books, paper etc.)
  6. Keep out of reach from pets and children and be careful because candles,  containers and wax can become hot while in use.
  7. Never burn a candle all the way down.
  8. Do not burn candle all the way down. Extinguish flame if it comes too close to the container. We recommend using a candle snuffer to extinguish a candle. We do not recommend using water.
  9. To maximize scents, burn candles in an area away from drafts, open air vents or ceiling fans. This will also help to avoid rapid burning and prevent flare-ups.
  10. Keep wax pool free from wick and other debris at all times.
  11. Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high. The candle isn’t burning properly. Cool, align and trim the wick, then check for drafts before relighting.
